Chicken-Fried FAIL

So...tonight Goober decided we were going to make fried chicken for dinner instead of rolling it in cornflake crumbs and baking it in the oven as usual. Well, he used a Rachael Ray recipe, and all did not go well to say the least.

The chicken was raw on the inside, and the breading was burnt...past crispy. More like cremated, to be specific. Normally, Goober is a pretty good cook, but this fried chicken thing was a fail. I told him not to use butter milk...oh, well. MY garlic mashed potatoes were beastly. :) The peas were okay, too.

Other than that, today was an okay day. We've started reading Hamlet in my English class. Well, okay, the rest of the class may have, but I'll be honest, I haven't touched it all week. Not necessarily on purpose, but because I don't feel well, again, so I have no attention span to watch a movie, let alone read a book. Which is also why I haven't touched The Killer Angels this week, either.

Yesterday, someone with an idiosyncratic sense of humor decided to empty a water bottle, put a paper towel in it, drop a lit match in the bottle, close it, and throw it in a trash can in B Building at school. Lovely, right? NOT. LOSER. We spent half of 7th hour in the cold thanks to you. :p EPIC FAIL. Which resulted in history homework. LAME.

Well, it's kind of late, so I think I'll wrap this up.

Goodnight!

Goober Pyle is Now OUR Goober ;)

The photo above is of a character named, Goober Pyle, played by George Lindsey, from TV's "The Andy Griffith Show". I have named my dad, a good, personable, sometimes goofy guy, after this character. He reminds me of my dad, so if you've ever seen the show, you know what I'm talking about. If not, you're missing out, but if you get the channel, TV Land, you should be able to catch it on Saturdays. Now, that photo below, that right there is MY Goober; the very subject of this blog. ;) I love him to death, but he's a Goober. :)
